- A police officer has died and almost 200 people have been injured in anti-government protests in the Lebanese capital.
Mock gallows were erected with effigies of prominent politicians believed to be responsible for the blast as well as the economic crisis that has gripped the country.
Prime Minister Hassan Diab called for early elections to quell the anger - but many protesters believe the political system is corrupt.
