To those wondering why we chose to use this hardware rather than waiting for new solutions:

Linus Tech Tips name of the case?

You should have moved to the 6950X around halfway in the lifespan, when it’s ironed out the wrinkles but will still be king-of-the-hill for a bit. That would seem more reasonable.

    I am very disappointed. I expected 4x Quadro, 2x 22 Core Xeon's, 128gb of RAM, Intel PCI-E 800GB SSDs

0:13*Linus -* "We have been using the same base editing workstations for THREE YEARS!"*Me here sitting with a GT520 from 2011 -* "Yeah three years.. "😂😅

  • ArachneNet (Mar 12, 2019)

Hell yeah, still rocking an i7 2600 from 2011 and it's working great!

  • Unlocked Beans (Feb 28, 2019)

+Zebra I have no ideaSometimes when I reboot, it gives me a "CPU Overheating" even when I don't overclock

  • RAID i/o head (Jun 13, 2017)

Either native 21:9, so I can watch it on my ultrawide, or 16:9 please. These hardcoded black bars are just bad, all that wasted space...

  • AdithyaLive (Aug 11, 2018)

Actually no it's perfect. By adding black bars, 16:9 displays will have a small top and bottom black bar and 18:9 displays when zoomed to fill, would not crop out the video, instead crops the top and bottom bar.

  • skatcat743 (Apr 9, 2018)

how is it 16:10 if it was 16:10 then the black bars would be on the sides not the top and bottom to me it seems like someone thought it would be funny to go 16:8.5 or some decimal meme but hey we at least got 30fps and not 24fps

  • Michael Choe (Jun 13, 2017)

where can i hire a Ivan?

  • BobRossTheBoss (Jan 4, 2019)

I hope this isn't TOO late, but Ivans hide in Soviet Canada as said by Linus. I've had the best luck by yelling "OI COMMIE MAPPLE SYRUP" in a snowy forest. That gives you a small chance of finding up to 3 at a time.
