Rice Cooker Coconut Rice And Yam fry - Lunch Box Recipe - Instant Rice Cooker Pulao Recipe

  • Coconut rice with prawsn fry is one of my favourite but when making for veg i choose yam fry

    In a bowl add 2cup of soaked basmati rice
    Add 1cup of coconut milk
    Add 2cups of water
    Add some salt and mix it nicely.
    Put this rice in rice cooker
    Add 1tbs of coconut oil
    Put on lid and cook for some time.
    Heat a pan add 1tbs of coconut oil
    Add 1tsp of mustard seeds
    Add 4 red chillies
    Add 1tsp of chana dal
    Add 1 tsp of urad dal
    Add 1tsp of cumin seeds
    Add 1tsp of cashew nuts
    Add 1 Tbs of chopped onions
    Add 1sprig curry leaves
    Add 2pinches of hing
    Add some salt
    Add 4green chillies
    And cook for a minute.
    Now add 1cup of grated coconut
    And fry in brown in colour.
    Then switch off the flame.
    add 1tsp of sugar
    Pour this mixture in to rice cooker
    Put on lid and cook for 5 minutes.
    YAM FRY;-
    First cut the yam in to triangle shape.
    Then boil in to hot water
    And add 1/2tsp of turmeric powder
    And some salt and cook it half.
    Then transfer in to a bowl
    Add 1tbs of tamarind juice
    Add 1/2tsp of ginger garlic paste
    Add 1/2tsp of red chilli powder
    Add 1/2tsp of coriander powder
    Add 1tsp of rice flour
    Add some salt and mix it nicely.
    Heat a pan add 1tbs of oil
    Put the yam pieces and fry in both sides.
