  • Brand new everything in Arizona. General Manager Steve Keim and more specifically Kliff Kingsbury got their man, Heisman Trophy winner, Kyler Murray the former Oklahoma signal-caller. Couch Potato General Manager ranked Murray as the 20th overall prospect in the class and the top quarterback. Murray replaces last year's first round selection, Josh Rosen who was shipped off to Miami. It certainly was no secret how much the Arizona Cardinals coveted the electrifying QB as his skill-set may indeed be a perfect match for Kingsbury's offensive scheme. In the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft the Cardinals drafted Byron Murphy, the 15th overall prospect in the class according to CPGM. The talented cornerback figures to operate out of the slot and potentially succeed Patrick Peterson in the desert. With the 2nd two second round picks acquired in the Josh Rosen trade the Arizona Cardinals began to add weapons for their newly minted franchise quarterback by selecting wide receiver Andy Isabella out of UMass. The speedy dynamo led the nation in receiving last season and turned heads at the 2019 Senior Bowl. With their final pick on Day 2 of the draft the Cardinals drafted edge defender Zachary Allen out of Boston College further bolstering Arizona's front seven. The Cardinals got Day 3 started off by selecting WR Hakeem Butler at the top of the 4th round. Some considered Butler the top receiver in the 2019 NFL Draft Class so to be able to acquire the highlight reel of a receiver on Day 3 was an absolute steal. The same could be said of their 5th round selection safety Deionte Thompson out of Alabama given his ball skills and playmaking ability. A pair of sixth round picks netted the Cardinals Fresno State wideout Keesean Johnson and center Lamont Gaillard from Georgia. Johnson's collegiate production is undeniable and he is yet another weapon for Kyler Murray. Despite being a late round pick Gaillard may contribute along the offensive line sooner rather than later as that group was maligned in 2018. Joshua Miles, Michael Dogbe, and Caleb Wilson round out the Arizona Cardinals' 2019 draft class. Cardinlas Draft Recap 2019. Couch Potato GM.
