    Appe are spiced dumplings those are shallow fried in a special pan known as appe patra. Generally these are made from rice. But today let’s see how to make instant appe using rava or semolina. We have added veggies to make them healthy. This can be a good breakfast or evening snack option. Do try this recipe and drop a comment for me. You also can like, share and subscribe.

    • 1 cup coarse Suji / Semolina
    • 1/2 cup Curd
    • 1/2 cup + 2 tsp Water
    • Salt to taste
    • Finely grated Carrot
    • Finely chopped Capsicum
    • Finely chopped Spring onion
    • Finely chopped Green chili
    • Finely grated Ginger
    • 1 tsp Eno fruit salt
    • 1/2 tsp Water
    • Oil

    • Take suji in a bowl.
    • Add curd and mix well.
    • You can use buttermilk in place of curd.
    • Add water, salt and mix well.
    • Rest the batter for about 15-20 minutes.
    • Add water to adjust the consistency and mix well.
    • Add carrot, capsicum, spring onion, green chilies, ginger and mix everything well together.
    • You can add veggies of your choice.
    • You can add panner too chopped into small pieces.
    • You also can add coriander leaves, spinach or fresh fenugreek too if you want.
    • Add eno fruit salt, water and mix well quickly.
    • Batter for making appe is all ready.
    • Heat up appe patra on medium heat.
    • Add a little oil in each mold.
    • Mix the appe batter once well and add it in each mold.
    • Fill the mold that is at the center in the end as it gets maximum heat.
    • Cover and cook for about 5 minutes until lower side turns nice brown.
    • After about 3-4 minutes, remove the lid and drop a little oil on each appam.
    • Flip the appe over and cook well from other side as well.
    • After cooking for about 2-3 minutes from other side check once and take the appe out into a
    • Instant suji appe are all ready.
    • Serve with chutney.
