  • Budidha gummadikaya vadiyalu is one of my favorite chips varieties. In every summer we use to prepare these Ash gourd chips. It will take quite long time to prepare but you can store and taste these gummadikaya vadiyalu for whole year. Gummadikaya and its seeds good for health, it has more water content.

    Make sure there is no water content in the pieces of Budida gummadi kaya, squeeze the water as much as possible, otherwise the dough will become loose. Urad dal dough should be soft and tight so that vadiyalu will come in perfect shape.

    Below is the list of ingredients, used in the preparation of Vadiyalu.

    Ash Gourd - Large Size (8 Parts)
    Urad dal - 1/2 KG (1 Part)
    Turmeric Powder - 1 Tea Spoon
    Ginger - 2 Inch Piece
    Green Chilli - 200 Grams (As per your taste)
    Salt - To Taste
    Sabudana - 3 Table Spoons
    Cumin seeds - 1 Tea Spoon
    Oil - To fry Vadiyalu
