Can a Disabled Person Drive a Tesla?

  • Published on:  1/7/2019
  • How is it possible for a disabled person to drive a car? Today Cambry is going to answer that question for us! A cool thing about Tesla's is they have a summon feature to help move the car into position for easy entry and exiting. PLUS an electric car never needs to stop at the gas station! Definitely an added bonus for the disabled community. The future is exciting, and Tesla is the most high tech car on the market, leading the way for fully autonomous driving.

I'm legally blind, I can see well enough to ride my electric bike around. But I'm not legally allowed to drive. So I can't wait for Teslas to be fully autonomous. I rely on family and friends constantly to go far distances that I cant do on my bike. This would be a even bigger life change for me and other visually Impaired people.(Edit) my electric bike is The RADRover, the same bike Zach used for the Electric Wheelchair

I am a high level quadriplegic. I can drive an electric wheelchair with my chin but have no use of my arms. I'm looking forward to the day when I can roll into my van and tell it where I want to go and it takes me there. Speaking of the Tesla it's probably one of the best cars for paraplegics like Cambry.

  • SynthwaveHyena (Mar 14, 2019)

Actually technology of the past, bmw's, mercs and so on already had that feature in production cars since 2015 and maybe even before. Just not a lot of countries A allowed it and B not everyone wanted to pay higher insurance for it.
