  • Babies are started with solids/semisolids post 6 month and it is one of the big questions for the Moms 'what to feed??'. After a quick research I listed these ingredients and made a powder with them.

    You can add more items to this or remove some if you wish. Ragi is the main ingredient in this.

    Ingredients - ಸಾಮಾಗ್ರಿಗಳು
    1 small cup /50gm each of:

    Green peas -ಹಸಿರು ಬಟಾಣಿ
    Horse gram ಹುರುಳಿಕಾಳು
    Black eyed beans - ಅಲಸಂದೆ
    Green gram - ಹೆಸರುಕಾಳು
    Badami/Almonds - ಬಾದಾಮಿ
    Groundnut - ಶೇಂಗಾ
    Chickpea -ಕಡಲೆಕಾಳು
    Urad dal - ಉದ್ದಿನಬೇಳೆ
    masoor dal ಮಸೂರಬೇಳೆ
    Moong dal - ಹೆಸರುಬೇಳೆ
    Toor dal -ತೊಗರಿಬೇಳೆ
    Chana dal - ಕಡಲೆ ಬೇಳೆ

    1 medium cup/ 100gm each of :
    Red rice - ಕುಚಲಕ್ಕಿ
    Kodo millet - ಅರಕಾ
    Jowar -ಜೋಳ
    Proso millet - ಬರಗು
    Foxtail millet -ನವಣೆ
    Little millet - ಸಾಮೆ
    Pearl millet - ಸಜ್ಜೆ
    Barnyard millet - ಊಧಲು
    Wheat - ಗೋಧಿ

    2 big cups/1kg of:
    Finger millet - ರಾಗಿ

    1 tsp each of:
    Black pepper -ಕರಿಮೆಣಸು
    Cumin - ಜೀರಿಗೆ


    I give this once a day to my baby. I have other lighter recipes for other two times in a day (I will share it soon).
