I'm gay, I think he's funny. I'm not offended by his homophobic jokes from a decade ago. I thought comedians were allowed to make jokes that are offensive!! If we get offended by everything, we feed into the bull shit, we let ourselves become victims to something that really doesn't matter. I don't think he should have apologised at all. I respect that he has. I feel he doesn't need to prove himself to anybody. I think he has already. Everyone is attacking him for some old jokes. Why wasn't this brought up years ago? I'm pretty sure he apologised for his jokes and tweets years ago. So now he is again. He hasn't been telling any current homophobic jokes, he said sorry, more than once, he's not hosting the show, just accept his apology and move on. Let it go.

Was really excited to see 8 minutes of Kevin Hart telling his would've been Oscar jokes, but then found out most of it was just Stephen asking Kevin about one thing he said he doesn't want to deal with anymore.

Much respect to Kevin for how he handled this. Colbert pressed him a little too far as far as I am concerned. Kevin was class right here.

If Kevin Hart just went on Insta and gave his would be Oscar monologue he'd actually get a higher viewership than the actual award show.

Homophobia definition is the fear, hatred, discomfort with, or mistrust of people who are lesbian, gay, or bisexual. Kevin Hart only wrote a couple of jokes about these type of people 10 years ago and he hasn't shown any of the behaviors mentioned above. Try to pay more attention to the english language and use the correct words to describe things

If everybody who has ever said an offensive joke lost their job, nobody would have a job

As a gay man, enough is enough. Leave the guy alone. He’s done enough. For the LGBTQ people, think about your parents. When you first came out to them, there’s a good chance they were like Kevin Hart. They weren’t open minded, but people change. Your parents changed (well not everyone’s parents but a lot of them) they’ve changed and Kevin Hart can do the same.

You could see Steven start to get irritated when Kevin countered his statement "it's our job to entertain people." Steven had something along the lines of I'm not over it until the crowd is over it. That highlights such an important characteristic in this man - that he is fake and stands for nothing. He doesn't get the idea that you need to have strong convictions and be okay with yourself sometimes, even at the risk of losing everything. And I love that Kevin got a moment to preach that
