Singaporean lady who gives free meals to migrant workers
- Published on: 5/30/2021
- Back when we could receive up to 8 visitors in a household, 65-year-old Wong Kae Chee would regularly host dinners at her house for migrant workers. She feels that it is important to not take them for granted, and to treat them with dignity.
"The more restrictions we have, the more I need to connect with them, because they are far away from home, they can't go home. They don't have enough knowledge of the disease, and they are so afraid that they would be checked and sent home, and lose their job. So I felt for them."
