  • Tornado Potatoes are so fun to eat as evening quick snack but here's an awesome twist for tornado potato.. We have made Honey Chilli Tornado Potato which makes it simply yummylicious.
    This is a very easy yet tasty recipe so lets check the ingredients.

    Ingredients :

    - Skewers
    - Potatoes ( 4 or 5 )

    Dry mix :
    - Cornflour (3 Tbsp)
    - All purpose flour (1/4 Cup)

    Slurry :
    - Cornflour (3 Tbsp)
    - All purpose flour (1/4 Cup)
    - Salt & Pepper

    Honey chilli gravy :
    - Oil (1 Tbsp)
    - Ginger Garlic Paste (1/2 Tbsp)
    - Green chiilies (1 or 2 , slit )
    - Spring Tops (1 Tbsp)
    - Red Chilli Sauce (2 Tbsp)
    - Soy Sauce (1 Tsp)
    - Water (1/3 Cup) + Cornflour (1 Tbsp)
    - Spring onion greens (2 Tbsp)
    - Honey (2 Tbsp)

    Garnish :
    - Spring onion greens
    - Sesame Seeds


    Procedure :

    - Put skewers in the potatoes
    - Preferably take lengthwise long potatoes
    - Carve at an angle into a spiral
    - Soak for 30 min
    - Dry using lint - free towels
    - Dry mix : Mix cornflour and all purpose flour
    - Coat the potatoes with dry mix
    - Wet mix : Mix cornflour, all purpose flour, salt & pepper
    - Pour water to make a slurry
    - Put this mixture in the glass so that it could be easily coated
    - Put the skewers in the flour mix and coat with flour
    - Deep fry in medium hot oil
    - Drain on paper towel

    Honey Chilli Sauce :
    - Put oil in the pan
    - Put Green chillies, ginger garlic paste and spring onion tops.
    - Saute for 2 - 3 min
    - Put Red Chilli sauce and Soy Sauce
    - Mix water and cornflour and pour in the pan
    - Cook until sauce consistency
    - Turn the heat off
    - Put spring onion greens and honey
    - Pour sauce over the potatoes
    - Garnish it with spring onions and sesame seeds
    - Serve it immediately and enjoy ..
