It’s time for the ultimate showdown! It’s time to pit the Tuft & Needle against the Tuft & Needle Mint and Tuft & Needle Hybrid.
Tuft & Needle has been producing quality mattresses for years but, until recently, they only offered one mattress.
Now, they offer the Mint, an all-foam mattress with a thicker comfort layer and the Hybrid, a mattress that features two layers of coils as well as thick, comfortable foam.
At first glance, these three bed-in-a-box mattresses have a few things in common. They all contain Adaptive Foam, a responsive and soft alternative to memory foam. They are also all medium-firm mattresses with a similar balanced foam feel.

Now, I can say that these are all very nice mattresses, but they really are a better fit for different types of people.
First off, the Tuft & Needle is the more affordable mattress. The mattress’s construction is much more streamlined, so it costs less than the other two mattresses. Those looking to save some money should definitely check it out!
The Tuft & Needle is also the firmest of these three mattresses. That makes it a better fit for stomach sleepers who need more support.
However, light- and medium-weight side sleepers are going to want to check out the Mint mattress. This mattress features a thicker comfort layer that should relieve pressure on the shoulders and hips.
At the same time, it is a great mattress for heavier back sleepers who don’t want to splurge on the Hybrid. The Mint is definitely supportive enough to hold up people who are heavier.
However, those who want the best mattress for back sleeping should go for the Tuft & Needle Hybrid. I personally feel fantastic while back sleeping on the Hybrid. The combination of coils and Adaptive Foam gives the mattress that perfect balance of comfort and support.
Also, the Hybrid is the most comfortable mattress of the three. With its very thick comfort layer it should provide the best pressure relief for side sleepers.
Those who want a mattress for couples and a more cooling mattress should also opt for the Hybrid.
Keep this in mind, and it shouldn’t be hard to choose between the Tuft & Needle mattresses!
