4 Easy Sooji/Rava Recipes | Sooji Recipes with Easily Available Ingredients ~ The Terrace Kitchen

  • While we are working on recipes that can be made with the least and readily available ingredients; here is a small compilation of quick & easy Sooji or Rava recipes. These can be made using easily available ingredients during this lock down period and would give you pallet a different taste. Enjoy!!


    Some cooking oil
    1 Cup rava (sooji)
    1 Cup rice flour
    A lot of water
    Salt to taste
    2-3 Finely chopped green chilIies
    7-8 Curry leaves broken into small pieces
    1 Tsp ginger paste
    Some chopped fresh coriander (around 3/4 cup)
    Juice from 1/2 lemon
    2 Tbsp curd

    4-5 Slices of bread (white/brown)
    1 Medium sized finely chopped onion
    2-3 Medium sized sliced mushrooms
    Some water
    1 Small finely chopped tomatoes
    1 Small finely chopped green chilli
    1/2 Cup fine sooji/rava
    3 Tbsp fresh cream
    Salt to taste
    1 Small finely chopped capsicum
    2 Tsp butter

    1 Cup curd
    1-2 finely chopped green chillis
    Some cooking oil
    1/4 Cup finely chopped carrots
    1 Tsp grated ginger
    1 Tsp baking soda
    2 Cups fine rava (sooji)
    Some chopped fresh coriander
    5-6 Curry leaves (break into small pieces)
    Salt to taste
    Some water to make the batter

    To make the batter:
    Half Lemon
    2 Cup Rava/sooji
    1/2 Cup Curd
    3/ Tsp Sugar
    1/2 Tsp Citric Acid
    1 Tsp grated ginger
    3 Tsp cooking oil
    1 Tsp baking soda
    Salt to taste
    Water as required

    To make the Tadka:
    1 Tsp Mustard seeds
    Some curry leaves
    2 Green Chillis
    1/2 Cup water
    1 Tsp Sugar
    A pinch of salt
