Tandoori Chicken Biryani - Mutton Biryani - Prawn Pulao - Tender Coconut Pulao- Daawat Basmati Rice

  • Sundays are mini celebrations as the entire family is together at home and in South the core of this celebration is Food. This food on Sunday in 95% of the households in South is Biryani and it is only made using Basmati Rice. Since it is a special meal, best of the ingredients are used for it.
    MUTTON GHEE ROAST KADAI BIRYANI

    In a pan add water add 1 tsp of oil
    Add whole garam masala
    Add some salt
    Add soaked basmati rice and cook it.
    Take a pan add 1 tb spn of ghee
    Add ½ cup of chopped onions
    Add ½ tsp of salt and cook it
    Now add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
    Add ½ tsp of turmeric powder
    Add boiled mutton water
    Add 1 tsp of red chilli powder
    Add 1 tsp of chopped green chillies
    Add 1 tsp of crushed pepper
    Add 1 tsp of coriander powder
    Add ½ tsp of cumin powder
    Add ½ tsp of fennel powder
    Add 1 tsp of garam masala
    Add 500 grams of mutton pieces
    Add 1 tb spn of mint leaves
    Add 1 tb spn of coriander leaves and cook for 5 minutes
    Then add 2 cups of rice
    Add 1 tsp of saffron water
    Add 1 tb spn of mint leaves
    Add 1 tb spn of coriander leaves
    add some brown onions
    And put on lid for 5 minutes.

    RICE COOKER PRAWNS PULAO

    In a bowl add 5 ½ cup of water
    Add 1 tsp of salt
    Add whole garam masala
    Add ½ tsp of fennel seeds
    Add 1 tsp of pepper corns
    Add 2 sprigs of curry leaves
    Add ½ cup of mint leaves
    Add ½ cup of coriander leaves
    Add ½ cup of tomatoes
    Add ½ cup of coconut milk
    Add and mix it
    Then transfer in to rice cooker
    And add 3 cups of basmati rice
    Add 1 ½ tsp of coconut oil
    And cook it
    Heat a pan add 1 tb spn of oil
    Add 1 cup of prawns
    Add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
    Add 4 green chillies
    Add 2 sprigs of curry leaves
    Add 1 tsp of coriander powder
    Add ½ tsp of cumin powder
    Add 1 tsp of red chilli powder
    Add 1 tsp of garam masala
    Add 1 tb spn of brown onions
    And cook for 10 minutes
    Then add in to a rice cooker
    And put on lid and cook for 5 minutes.

    Tender COCONUT PULAO

    In a pressure cooker add oil
    Add 4 round red chillies
    Add 4 cardamoms
    Add 1 tsp of cumin seeds
    Add 1 cup of sliced onions
    Add some salt
    Add ½ of cashew nuts
    ¼ cup of almonds
    Add ½ cup of raisins
    Add 2 sprigs of curry ;eaves
    And mix it
    Now add 3cups of soaked basmati rice
    Add 5 1/2 cups of tender coconut water
    Check the salt
    Add coconut malai put on lid and cook for 10 minutes.
